Sunny California!

Good Morning from Sunny California!!!

Happy Memorial Day!!
I am here in Manhattan Beach, California working on a few projects that will be coming up soon and I am sooo excited about life.
I honestly think this is the happiest I have ever been.

Just want to leave you with one daily thought
life has no limitations unless you make them, this is something I stand by 110%, if you want something the only person who is going to make it happen is you.
In 2015 I have traveled to so many wonderful places, met so many great people and have had nothing but uphill success and this is the first time in a long time that I can honestly say I feel stable with every aspect of my life.

Thank you for those of you who have contributed to that.

Goal Setting!

What are your goals? I have always been a fan of goals and having a vision of what you want.
See your vision clearly?

Good now write it down.

What I usually do, is at the beginning of the month, write a list of ten goals (realistic goals) to complete within the month and then I reward myself at the end of the month. Now your reward doesn’t have to be something expensive- whatever you think will keep you on track. Could be having an in bed Netflix day (this tends to be my goal often as I am usually always on the go). I tend to try to not focus on so many long term goals because as I change and grow as a person, so does my vision and in 5 years
I will probably exceed my vision of what I am capable of in 5 years.

7 DON’T’s with Social Media

I recently saw an article in the news about a lady who got fired from a job before even starting the job for a post she put on social media. Yes I am sure some of you don’t agree with that but it’s a reality!! And YOU are a representation of that company. You would not want to see your doctor or lawyer on social media being represented poorly so you need to make sure you are portraying yourself in a positive way.

-          #1 NO DRUGS on your profile – This is a HUGE no no ... yes it may seem very innocent to put a picture of you with margarita’s getting drunk with your friends in Vegas etc. but the reality of this is that most of us don’t know where we will be in 10 years. I mean, if you asked me 10 years ago where I would be it would not be where I am now. Life changes drastically and what you put online unfortunately is usually online FOREVER.

-          #2 No Slander – yes we all have our days in which someone doesn’t treat us as well as we would have liked them to, it happens but be the BIGGER person!!! Do not sit there and trash them online, it just shows your character not theirs.

-         #3 NO whining/complaining – not only am I a true believer in mindset being everything, but it also gets old. You know the type that just whine and complain on social media every time something doesn’t go their way. People eventually stop feeling sorry for you and just cringe when they read your status #truthbomb.

-        #4  NAUGHTY PHOTO’s – AHHHH! I must say this and I must say this a million times in hopes that some young woman/girl will read this and be inspired.  PLEASE JUST DON’T DO IT!! I have seen it too many times that it goes around the internet and everyone sees it and it will haunt you for your whole life because of some guy you thought you could trust and they turned out to be a slime ball (sorry guys- I know there is some good ones out there). Please think of your future and not just today when considering this. He may seem like potential for the future but life changes in a flash.

-         #5 TOO MUCH INFORMATION – there is such beauty in a little mystery in life. Makes people curious about you and want to find out more. When you share too much information, it’s just unnecessary and to be honest, I do not want to know about how your boyfriend and that you two are fighting etc.

-          #6 NETWORK MARKETING- yes I believe there is a way to approach this but if all you care about is constantly selling me on your products etc., it gets annoying. Connect and engage with me before you try to sell me on something. I DO NOT WANT YOUR BODY WRAPS, DIET PLAN ETC.! (I haven’t even talked to you in 5 years) It is okay to put the product out there if it’s not aggressively.

-          #7 Controversial Conversations – try to stay out of them or at least not be one sided. It just gets UGLY and it’s unnecessary. It is okay to have an opinion, but it’s also okay for the other person to have an opinion.

4 tips on how to make a killer LinkedIn profile

Your LinkedIn profile is your way to show off your professional successes and future aspirations. It’s your first impression to people and is a great networking tool to help you achieve your professional goals. Knowing how to make a killer profile is key for people to see you as a hardworking individual.

Some key things to think about are:

#1 Don’t just add anyone’s request- I will be the first to admit that I made this mistake and now I have to deal with going back in and removing people. It isn't beneficial to you to have people that aren't in your industry or country (even if it may seem valuable to have more connections). Think of quality over quantity when it comes to LinkedIn connections.

#2 Have a professional head shot- this doesn't mean you have to spend a lot of money on a photographer or anything (especially if you aren't an actor) but make sure not only that the picture looks like you but it shows the image you are trying to portray as a professional.

#3 Make sure your profile stands out- how can you make your profile stand out amongst others? Have a catchy headline and list attributes about yourself but also show a bit of personality in your writing.

#4 Edit, Edit, Edit- My grammar is the absolute worst!!! I have people go over ALL of my writing to ensure that I am sending across the right message to my readers. I even have two or three people go over my writing so that it is grammatically correct.
